The British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and Oxford University Press (OUP) are pleased to announce a new partnership to publish the BAD journals. British Journal of Dermatology (BJD) and Clinical and Experimental Dermatology (CED) will be published by OUP from January 2023.

The BJD is an international journal, with an editorial board and editorial team that includes outstanding clinical academics, scientists, clinicians and patient associate editors from around the world, and a global readership to match. The journal is ranked 3rd within the field of dermatology, with an Impact Factor of 11.113.

CED is the educational journal of the BAD. Providing educational material for practicing clinicians and dermatological researchers, it attracts contributions from around the world. The journal supports continuing professional development (CPD) of dermatology specialists to advance the understanding, management, and treatment of skin disease to improve patient outcomes. Besides a dedicated CPD section, CED publishes review articles, original papers, concise reports and items of correspondence.

“This new collaborative and exciting partnership with OUP will not only preserve and build upon the established success of BJD and CED, but will also further enhance our digital offerings,” said Simon Morrison, CEO. “We look forward working with our new publisher to continue to develop our journals to meet the needs of the dermatology community.”

Deborah Dixon, Publishing Director, Oxford University Press, also commented: “We are thrilled to enter into this partnership with BAD.
